Meet Dr Bachmayer
Dr David Bachmayer graduated as a dentist from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, in 1979 (cum laude). He practiced General Dentistry for three years prior to accepting an offer to study orthodontics. In 1985, he graduated as an orthodontist from the University of Toronto, Canada, where he received a Diploma in Orthodontics and a Master of Science. David conducted research on children born with Cleft Lip and Palate at the Hospital for Sick Children and was given a special award of Merit for this research by the American Association of Orthodontists.
Since arriving in Australia in 1986, David has maintained a private practice in orthodontics in Parramatta and Norwest, Baulkham Hills. He has been a tutor in orthodontics at the University of Sydney and has also been a visiting Dental Officer at the Children's Hospital at Westmead.
David has a special interest in clear aligner orthodontics and when not straightening teeth, can be found paddling his surfski on Sydney Harbour.
