A message to our patients and their families
The health and safety of our patients and our staff continues to be a priority for us. We want to reassure our patients and their families that we are taking additional precautions as we continue to receive updates from the Health Department, the Australian Dental Association and the Australian Society of Orthodontists. We continue to follow the highest standards of sterilisation and hygiene protocols.
In order to help us minimise any potential spread of infection, we ask that you assist us in the following ways:
If you feel unwell and experiencing any of the symptoms of fever, coughing, sneezing or have difficulty breathing;if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 virus or have tested positive to the virus, PLEASE POSTONE YOUR APPOINTMENT UNTIL YOU ARE FEELING BETTER OR HAVE COMPLETED THE 14 DAY QUARANTINE PERIOD.
If you have a non-urgent appointment such as a recall or a retainer check, please postpone this visit and continue wearing your appliance.
If you are coming to an appointment, please minimise the number of people in the waiting room. Parents of teenagers should please remain in the waiting room or car and not come into the clinical area. We will inform you what procedures were carried out on your child and answer any questions. Parents, can, of course, accompany younger patients. Please do NOT bring friends, partners or other family members into the practice.
When you arrive for your appointment and have checked in with reception, please then proceed to wash your hands or use hand sanitiser. Please ensure that you have brushed your teeth prior to your appointment, as the tooth brushing area will not be available during this period.
If you do have a problem with your braces or your appliance, please contact our office by phone, email, Messenger, SMS, Skype or FaceTime. We will also post information on our practice Facebook page, if the need arises. We will be available to help at all times.
The situation is changing daily and we are monitoring and following the advice as we receive it. We will continue to be available if you need to see us and to advise you.
Stay safe! With Best Wishes,
Dr David Bachmayer and the Team
